What’s the difference between KN95 and N95 masks?

KN95 is almost the equivalent to N95 in every aspect.

N95 is the U.S. standard, and the KN95 is the China standard.

The certifications only refer to the country in which the standards and regulations were created, not where the masks are made. Most N95 and KN95 masks and filters are still made in China and Asia. Learn more here..

Do face masks affect your health by reducing your oxygen levels?

No they do not.  This is a big myth and has been tested over and over by healthcare workers who work all day in masks without it affecting their health.

Is a valve mask safe?

We use what we call an AIR FILTER VALVE between the outlet of the valve. This slows down and help stop droplets from your breath leaving the mask. You will see this as condensation on the inside of the filter, this will dry naturally.

A lot of valve masks on the market currently do not have valve filters and the CDC do not recommend them for use.

Is the condensation on my valve filter harmful?

No. This is the warm air from your breath that gets block like a filter as it leaves the mask. This is your breath so unless you have COVID-19 you have nothing to worry about. They will dry naturally and can be washed with warm water under the tap but not necessary for some period of time.

Can I wash the masks and filter?

You can hand wash the mask without the filter. KN95 or N95 filters are NOT designed to be washed.

How often should I replace the filter?

If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 you should replace the filter right away. Always place the used filter in a plastic bag before disposing of it.

The filter must be replaced with a new one when it looks dirty on the inside or after heavy exercise or sport activities. You should replace the filter before the next time you use it.

If you are using the mask as daily protection working with the public it is recommended to change the filter daily. We offer large discounts for volume sales. If  you do not see the volume you need please email us.

If you are a stay at home worker and use AIR-FLOW for occasional daily protection then you should only see a need to replace the filter every one or two weeks. Just check your filter as you put it on to see how clean it appears.

Some masks look like AIR-FLOW, what’s the difference?

Some products might look similar but do not come with the same guarantee of quality and manufacturing as an AIR-FLOW mask. Look for the AIR-FLOW logo to make sure you have the genuine article. We have gone to great lengths to perfect our mask manufacturing. Read more here.
